London, UK, 26th May 2022: Data consultancy, Cynozure, has more than doubled in size for the second year in a row, as well as tripling its geographic reach in the space of 12 months. In addition to expanding its client base in the UK, it now works with organisations across the globe – including in Benelux, the Netherlands, Australia, Luxembourg, Sweden and the USA – demonstrating the global appetite for data and analytics.
Cynozure is the trusted partner to a number of high-profile brands including Knight Frank, Baillie Gifford, Samaritans, Penguin Random House and Open Data Institute (founded by Sir Tim Berners Lee). The company works closely with these organisations to support them to use, access and understand their data in a way that facilitates better decision making across the business – whether to streamline internal processes or improve the customer journey.
The Cynozure team has expanded apace to support business growth, with the team doubling in size year on year. The company is continuing to hire for roles across the organisation, including customer facing positions to support platform development and business development. Despite fast growth, the inclusive and positive culture has not been lost, as evidenced by the most recent employee NPS score of 79. To put this into context, industry benchmark data suggests that anything above 30 should be considered ‘excellent’.
An increasing number of organisations are recognising the importance of data. According to 451 Research, 90% of business leaders believe that data will be of more importance to their organisation in 12 months’ time than it is now. Despite this, only 26% of that group say nearly all strategic decisions made at their organisation are currently data-driven. There is a clear need to bridge this gap, and support business leaders to harness the power of data to enable better decision making, in turn driving efficiencies and productivity within the wider organisation.
Jason Foster, Founder and CEO at Cynozure, comments: “As the world rebuilds from the pandemic, we have a unique opportunity to support more businesses to use data to drive business and economic growth. Not only will this help businesses to become more efficient, sustainable and profitable, but it will also create more employment opportunities.
“Used right, data can be one of the most powerful ways to transform productivity and efficiency in an organisation, whatever its size. The growth we have seen over the past year shows that business leaders are increasingly recognising this and are open to exploring the ways that their data can work for them.
“Alongside the exceptional team at Cynozure, I look forward to continuing on this growth trajectory over the course of 2022.”
A core focus for Cynozure is creating a strong community of data leaders and professionals in the nascent industry, and this is an area that has gained significant traction over the past year. Its CDO Hub, which acts as a peer to peer learning accelerator for CDOs, bringing them together to share best practices, network with peers, and move the industry forward – now has almost 300 members in 12 countries globally, a 42% increase compared to the same point last year. This growth is evidence of the increasing number of data experts in senior leadership positions and shows the value of a learning accelerator within the context of a supportive community of peers.
Cynozure is also working on a charitable programme – IMPACT– which connects not-for-profit organisations with experts in the data industry, giving them access to advice, guidance and hands-on help to support the positive use of data within their organisation.
